In our forces lesson, we received a letter from Traction Man. We investigated how cars move on different surfaces and wrote back to him with our findings. Here we are exploring surfaces before planning a fair investigation.
In Science, we have been learning about electricity. We worked with our learning partner to explore how to light a blub. We had to try different ways of using the wires to connect the battery and bulb until it lit up. We then thought about and tried to explain how it worked.
The children sorted materials into groups and explain their reasoning behind this.
They had to think of lots of key questions such as:
What do the materials feel like?
Can you bend them?
Can you see through them?
Pushes and Pulls
The children explored force through a push and pull with the effects of wind too. They have thought about what makes the object moves, change direction, change speed and stop. They discovered which force makes objects move in which direction such as pushing the wheel will make them travel forwards.
