During the Summer term the children have been in smaller 'pod' sized groups and have had to stay within the group area specified. This has encouraged the children to play with only the children in their group. Friendships have flourished and new friendships have begun. The children have been understanding of one another, tolerant of each other and accepting. All of these qualities are ones that we read about in the Rainbow Fish at the very end of the story. Working together, sharing and negotiating ideas are qualities that Early Years practitioners promote.
