Market Drayton Infant & Nursery School

‘An excellent, happy school, where we enjoy learning’

Wellbeing and Mental Health

At Market Drayton Infant and Nursery School we are full committed to promoting and protecting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our school community and have adopted a whole school approach that includes pupils, parents and staff. Through encouraging all our stakeholders to talk openly, we have developed a positive approach to protecting and promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health and understand that it is the responsibility of everyone in our school. We pursue this aim using both universal, whole school approaches and specialised, targeted approaches aimed at vulnerable pupils. In addition to promoting positive mental wellbeing, we aim to recognise and respond to mental ill health.
In school we have nominated several Wellbeing Champions who have the responsibility of supporting others in their area of expertise. This could be daily mile champions, pupil voice, nature, gardening, mindfulness and many more.... Our Champions can be recognised in school because they will be wearing a badge with the logo below. This was designed in a competition held by School Council.
