Market Drayton Infant & Nursery School

‘An excellent, happy school, where we enjoy learning’

In Market Drayton Infant School, children learn that historians use evidence to find out and ask questions about the past. Through stories, timelines, diaries and other sources they develop a sense of chronology. In Year 2 the children are fascinated by life in the past and always have lots of interesting questions to ask. They have enjoyed learning about local 'rogue-turned good' Clive of India, passionately took part in Suffragette role play and have been fascinated by the events following on from Pudding Lane. The Threshold concepts are returned to within each topic, helping to commit them to long-term memory.
