Strep A Guidance

Please be advised that we have confirmed cases of Strep A in school which have been reported to the Department for Education.
We have received the following information from them to pass on to the whole school community.

Following a number of confirmed cases of Strep A across several schools in the country, please see the below guidance for parents regarding what symptoms to look out for.

Group A streptococcus (GAS) is a common bacteria. However, GAS does cause a number of infections, some mild and some more serious.

To ensure the Health & Safety of everybody, any confirmed cases should be notified to the school immediately; there are certain procedures in place that schools must follow in this instance, so prompt notification is essential.
